NEW SEALED VINYL RECORD
12 inch 33 rpm LP pressed on 180 gram vinyl
Released in 1963, Dakar is a jazz album, a reissue of one side of Baritones and French Horns, credited to John Coltrane. It was released in November or December 1963 on Prestige Records. The original record, Baritones and French Horns, is a Pepper Adams & Cecil Payne LP released in August 1958.
As Coltrane's profile grew during the 1960s, after his Prestige contract had ended, the record company assembled and reissued recordings in which John Coltrane had participated under his name, though on Dakar he was originally a sideman.
Remastered in 1989 by Phil De Lancie at Fantasy Studios, Berkeley.
