New Releases from Knick Knack Records
GravelRoad is entering the studio at the end of August to being recording their new album with Jack Endino in Seattle. This will be their 6th studio album and is very much a return to their psychedelic hill country blues roots.
Following their studio work, they will return to Nashville for the Muddy Roots Festival where they will perform with legendary acts including The Del McCoury Band, Ricky Skaggs, Dr. Ralph Stanley, Peter Rowan, Possessed by Paul James and many more. Then it's off to Europe in October for a tour which will includes some dates in France with fellow label mates Teleferik. Upon returning home to Seattle they will release the 7" vinyl record "Weavin' " b/w "Flesh & Bone" with a celebration at the Tractor Tavern with friends Hillstomp.
Low Hums led by Jonas Haskins, (a decades-long veteran of Pacific Northwest bands like Earth and Sera Cahoone) are releasing their new EP "Adventuring In The Near and Far" on September 22. The album release show will be at the Sunset Tavern in Seattle on September 24. The recordings were done in a beautiful old church in Anacortes, Washington and features a guest appearance by Skerik on saxophone. This EP is just a taste of the work they are doing on their upcoming full length LP, which promises to be their best work yet.
Teleferik are one of the newest additions to the Knick Knack Records roster and we are excited to be working with this wonderfully talented group of musicians from Paris France. Teleferik blends rock and blues with an abundance of soul on their new album "Lune Electric". Singer and bassist Eliz Mourad brings the heat to this 10 track album with songs sung in English, French and Arabic. The album was recorded and mixed by Peter Deimel at The Black Box Studio in Angers, France.
Sweet Jesus are releasing their debut album "Shortwave Oracle" on September 22 and are celebrating with the album release show at Lo-Fi Performance Gallery on September 25. "Shortwave Oracle" showcases the bands clever and catchy songwriting as well as their ability to deliver a new level of sophistication in their performances. The album was engineered and mixed by Ben Jenkins at The Killroom Studios in Seattle and Mastered by Dalton Brand at Wave Burner Recording.
